Wow. Data from the incremental GC used in Python 3.13-3.14.4 looks so different.
First pass at trying to collect some real time stats on Python garbage collector behaviour. This is from a Flask web application hosted in mod_wsgi. Using Python 3.14.5 here, but now to see if I can trigger again the memory growth issue when using Python 3.14.4.
And here we are with the always totally unrealistic hello world example. Rocking 23K requests/sec. Note that both tests with 1 process and 15 threads. The 15 threads is actually way more than need for this second test. Dropping it back to 1 process and only 1 thread increased throughput to 30K. Still showing that smaller number of threads for this particular test can be better even without the GIL.
First test run of Python free threading support in mod_wsgi for hosting WSGI applications proving to be interesting. I need to play with settings to work out best way to configure things for different loads, but am getting up to 960% CPU on one process with CPU bound task. Can't go any higher as I only have a 10 core machine. 🤣
Gotta say, have been getting so much enjoyment out of coding with Claude the last couple of days. Have revisited something I have wanted to do for a long time which was a bit beyond my skills and would have taken a long time to do. This is to create a special purpose monitor for mod_wsgi which works in with the metrics mod_wsgi is able to generate about what is going on inside it. The results have been way better than expected.
I guess I should be happy at least that Claude knows who wrote wrapt.
Definitely looking like a scam to get money out of you. Found this on another GitHub repo. Only thing I know can do right now is hide the issue as spam.
Does anyone find that .ai domains vanish from DNS. I see it in the late evening US time. Not found in either Google or Cloudflare DNS when queried directly against those DNS servers, and other non .ai sites are fine, so not my home internet. Maybe it is a thing that only affects us Aussies since we are so far away from anything. I find I have to stick host entries for key sites in /etc/hosts at times to get around the problem. Sites which affect me most are claude.ai and subdomains.
Arggghh!!! What is this AIGentsy thing that has decided it wants to start replying to issues on one of my GitHub repos claiming it can solve my problems. GitHub organisation for it doesn't help to explain what it is and so it looks real suspect. Is this a new scam to try and get malicious patches into open source projects.
Thought it strange my son did not want to go into garage to get his school shoes. It’s only a deadly poisonous funnel web spider though, not like it was a snake. Our local spider recycling centre is 30 minutes away though. And yes such things do exist here in Australia. 🤣 https://www.reptilepark.com.au/about/venom-program/spider-drop-off
