I research effective evidence use for policy creation, but my personal passion is Digital Inclusion in Wales (as well as further afield). Will take any excuse to go outside.

Hi all! I'm looking for recommendations for academics or practitioners based in or around #Cardiff for an afternoon in March who can speak about a #fourdayworkweek at a short afternoon event. Any reccomendations?

Introducing my 2023 hobby πŸͺ‘

@judealdridge πŸ˜‚ to be fair, in your case, bud makes more logical sense. Though that might just be the American perspective
@judealdridge That is very true. I wonder how many people have held their tongues on this one.

I have been living in Cardiff since 2014, and with my partner since 2019.

Today, I learned that the British word for backpack is rucksack, rather that what I have been calling it for 9 years, 'rugsack'. Does rucksack make more sense, of course. But no one has corrected me until 9:15 this morning, on a word that I have been saying very incorrectly for quite some time πŸ˜‚

Wow, thanks everyone for sharing your incredibly helpful insights and processes! In the spirit of organizing and synthesizing, here is a shortlist:
- Notion
- Scrivener
- Obsidian
- Hypothes.is
- Zotero annotations (+linking with other tools)
- Hookmark
- Topical outlining
- Zettelkasten method
+ many more awesome workflow ideas!

I liked almost all of them, but if I had to recommend two to try, it would be Islands of Abandonment as its description is absolutely gorgeous, non-fiction but fantastical; and What We Owe Each Other because I think its a book that desperately needed to be written.

Sounds like a great list! My goal was to read more fiction last year. I did, but only just! I'll have a look at your titles!

2022 was a very good book year for me! What were some of your #TopReads of the year? @bookstodon

P.S one of these titles is not like the others, its good to challenge your own views sometimes too.
