just some guy interested in a ton of different things. Started this account in 2018, but it's been pretty dead until recently. Not here for politics. (i'm pretty sure mine are vastly different than most but i'm firm believer in live and let live) Love the outdoors as well as science related topics.
Fun radio stuff. me and a buddy of mine built a simplex gmrs radio repeater... intent was for me to hike it to a high spot, then go further up a canyon to see how far we could go before we lost comms. This is steep country with lots of obstructions. The good.. repeater worked great prior to the hike.. the bad.. my buddy forgot to plug the the antenna into the radio before i hiked it up a mountain side, so fried it (which is why we experimented with cheap radios)
