This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself.

The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning. Even though nothing loads, the Twitter website never stops trying and trying.

In the first video, notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. Then notice the jiggling scrollbar on the right.

The second video shows why it's jiggling. Twitter is firing off about 10 requests a second to itself to try and fetch content that never arrives because Elon's latest genius innovation is to block people from being able to read Twitter without logging in.

This likely created some hellish conditions that the engineers never envisioned and so we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, the self-DDOS.

Unbelievable. It's amateur hour.

Carolyn Bryant, the woman who got Emmet Till lynched, has died.

Anyone who thinks Emmett Till being lynched in 1955 is ancient history should remember that 18 current members of Congress are older than him and the white woman Carolyn Bryant who got him lynched just *today* died—and that without any accountability whatsoever.

In short, this systemic racism and racial terror against Black people is not ancient history. It's not even history.

It's contemporary reality.

Elderly politicians love to grip the backwards, racist, sexist, anti queer views from last century and try to impose those dated, backwards views on society, long after society has moved on.

Younger people need to vote every election.

We need a mandatory retirement age for politicians (NOT term limits... You should be able to have a career in politics, as other public servants do).

And we need to vote racists like Kay Ivey out of office. And we need to vote them out at every level of government, from small town school committee to POTUS, and everything in between.
