Biden, Macron to Declare 60-Day Ceasefire between Hezbollah, Israel on Tuesday

US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron will declare on Tuesday morning a 60-day ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, Asharq Al-Awsat learned from widely informed sources on Monday. Washington has spoken of “cautious optimism” that the US proposal for a ceasefire could be a success. The proposal calls for Hezbollah’s withdrawal from the area between the Blue Line and Litani River in a manner that can be verified. In return Israeli forces will withdraw from the regions they occupied since they carried out their limited invasion of Lebanon.

Merrick Garland wanted to avoid politics and protect the DOJ as an institution.

Thanks to his actions, or lack thereof, in one fell swoop, he has set the course to destroy the DOJ as an institution, make a mockery of what's left of the rule of law, and change politics as we have known it.

Why is there this asymmetry?

Is it because Dem billionaires aren’t as committed? Because their moderate sensibilities don’t translate to the kind of click bait content that makes a media empire? Do Dem donors see it as an altruistic loss vs conservatives who see it as an investment that will ultimately help their bottom line?

Edgerton pioneered various forms of high-speed photography using specialized cameras, strobe lighting, and other techniques. You’ve probably seen many of the images he created!
