My Overcast subscription renewed, finally got to see my stats for 2024. No surprise at my top 3, the second ATP entry is amusing since that was from binging the specials when I subscribed back in the summer. @connected @atpfm @upgrade
After this weeks @atpfm episode I learned you can infact device to device transfer using a usb-c to lightning. Actual transfer took 10 minutes then about 25-30 downloading all apps. By far my fastest move to a new phone. Took what I believe was @marcoarment advice and used an ice pack too keep it cool to.
Compare this too a month ago when I helped my mother inlaw with device to device wireless which took north of 3 hours.
@matt @ChrisLawley @comfortzone Watching/listening to this weeks Comfort zone, if you have Xfinity internet you should be able to get faster upload for no extra cost, you just need the right modem. I believe the Gigabit tier should get upload up to 100MB. They had a list of modems that supported it.
Recently in the past couple of months my previous agreement expired I took the offer they had to go up to 1200/200 and got a Aliexpress cheap 2.5GB switch, a new Hitron Coda56 modem and my router was 2.5gb capable already. I actually get 2000/400 pretty consistently now…
Been trying a small experiment with Facebook where my feed has become non-stop AI generated garbage clickbait. I focused in on one "group" that continues to appear which I am not a member. I have tried the Hide Posts like this, the stop see posts likes this, the unfollow option. They continue to appear in my feed. This is why Facebook is basically unusable at this point..
@marcoarment Listened to ATP over the weekend and your struggles with Ubiquiti stock for the Dream Machine Pro SE. Not sure if you knew but Microcenter carries Ubiquiti gear. Looks like your Microcenter on Long Island has them in stock.
