If you're still using Chrome for performance reasons:
- Firefox is now faster than Chrome out-of-the-box
- Firefox uses less memory than Chrome
- Contrary to Chrome, Firefox does not restrict Ad blockers, which will make your browsing experience much faster (and safer).

I actually received some angry emails and a few people unsubscribed from my YouTube channel after I started mentioning Mastodon in the videos and removing all links to my (deleted) Twitter account. It seems a handful of peeps takes it very personally/politically. On the other hand, my mental health status has improved significantly ever since I ditched the bird and its toxicity. Totally worth it. 😅

Downside is, Twitter's "What's happening" side panel was one of my primary sources of world event updates. I guess I'll have to like, read newspapers or some last-century thing like that instead?

So Twitter has made it so the site always loads in the "For you" tab, formerly the "Home" page (they renamed the "Latest first" feed to "Following" and made it a tab in the same page). Any time you refresh the site for some reason, it goes back to the "For you" feed.

I thought the reason I'd give up on their site would be like, excessive toxicity or paywalls. Didn't cross my mind they would **annoy** me into unpinning the tab instead.

He talked about electric cars. I don't know anything about cars, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Then he talked about rockets. I don't know anything about rockets, so when people said he was a genius I figured he must be a genius.

Now he talks about software. I happen to know a lot about software & Elon Musk is saying the stupidest shit I've ever heard anyone say, so when people say he's a genius I figure I should stay the hell away from his cars and rockets.
