First was a fascinating panel on the need for #GDPR harmonization at @edri's #PrivacyCamp23 with Lisette Mustert, Gwendal Le Grand, Romain Robert, @mariamagierska, and @ggf. This was an excellent run through of the different issues confronting cross-border GDPR enforcement, and the real life experience of a complaint against #Meta was incredibly detailed and revealing. @peterhense very good! you could also have stressed that often the people around will be children, the other day a mother of 2 explained how she was placing her baby in the seat & in the meantime the other child got close to the car parked next to hers, the way children often do, & they all appeared on a screen, and no idea how to stop that... GDPR is clear that even if there was a legitimate interest, if children are at stake one must think twice
