Retired, happily settled with my wife and a very loyal Labrador on the Isle of Lewis. Like cooking, and am quite ordinary at it. Like to read and to be challenged, politically. Probably on the left. Support the nurses and the train workers
. Music - Americana mainly, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Steve Earle and….Guy Clark (2 of whom are in Bob Dylan’s top 5 favourite songwriters) Very much a Remainer. Can’t for the life of me see what Brexit has done for us.

#remembrance morning folks. Have a wee listen to Eric Bogle’s ‘No man’s land’ and
also his song ‘ The band played Waltzing Matilda’ for two great writings on the horrors of war. Great songwriting. Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon also wrote brilliant poetry about WW1.
