a #poetry piece
called, a soul for a body:
Consuming the night, they circle
They’re stars, bright.
Shadows by the moon, circular light
Creatures, they roam
Blocked out of sight, their might
A son, not of the sun
Forever vain, and reaching for the
Continuum.
Language for these things
Seen. There’s a truth in your dreams,
That’s not able to be seen.
Lookin’ back at them days long gone,
Brain lacking the chemical response
To the fears of life
The truth is stranger than your worst
Dream. But there is beauty in the
Act of dreaming, it away.
