Okay, weirdness inside e-waste today. This was inside a commercial envelope fold/seal machine. Last minute hardware patch? They're Radio Shack perforated boards! With a relay and PIC16 on them!
The new A2L class of refrigerants are mildly flammable so manufacturers are adding leak sensors and alarms to their HVAC equipment. Yesterday was the first day I tested one in the field, super cool stuff, glad to have it. Hopefully it doesn't complicate the lives of technicians and owners much more.
