Still one of my favorite discoveries
@colinstu @geemo I didn’t realize it but often the “0 ohm” resistors (both in through-hole like this as well as surface mount) are used for isolation in your design. For stuff like testing and troubleshooting as well as accommodating different “options” in designs.
There was also a super clever design where you had two resistors side by side in a square pattern of four solder pads. If you had them both vertical it was for a receiving circuit, an of both were horizontal it was for transmitting.
