Friend to aged computers (Especially Amiga, C64, Osborne 1, Apple II, Nabu), writer of perplexing code and SciFi novels (well, working on my first one now) maker of things, designer of curious games. He/him
Who knew John Carpenter was an Amiga fan. ‘Prince of Darkness,’ 1986. Perhaps one of the first movies to feature the bestest 16 bit computer ever - the venerable Amiga 1000. #amiga1000#commodoreamiga
Mmmm, Panda. I found this lovely Fiat Panda whilst meandering through the streets of Bologna a few days ago. It screams boxy perfection - a design philosophy of angular practicality fused with origami-like folds of whimsy. It says both ‘I am car’ and ‘I am folded paper.’ It is small, but capacious. It is efficient and yet overtly delightful. It is Panda and also stealthy kitten. It makes me so very happy. #fiatpanda#boxycar
After 110 awesome miles hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc (#tmb) through Italy, France and Switzerland, my last camping adventure is in the Frankfort airport. Thank you #lufthansa - you suck.
Day 4 on the TMB on the way to Chamonix. Though I’m smiling, my feet are screaming after gaining 500m and then descending 600m to climb another 1200m. Whoever designed this trail did not optimize for altitude… nor for distance. Hmm, possibly optimized for maximum steps.
