With my Geek Spring Tour starting this weekend, I'm releasing all brand new vinyl & fabric Trifold Organizers, fabric & mixed media artwork, along with a new herd of Guardian Snails and Emotional Support Chickens.
The Geek's Spring Tour is about to kick off this weekend at the Inman Park Festival! I'll be posting photos and sending out an email blast before Friday.
I'm going to be at two different events this weekend. I'll be returned for my regular Indie South Abnormal Bazaar Market on the Saturday from 11- 3 and then on Sunday I'll be helping raise funds for the Rescue Paws UGA at Creature Comforts from 1-5.
Applique is the process of stitching something to a background fabric. It will take about an hour to finish these. It also took about 40 minutes to handcut them.
If you had told me I was going to fall in love with vinyl, I would have laughed in your face. I'm actively designing new organizers. The top/front is fabric. The interior is vinyl print on top of a fabric backing. I am in love!
The centerpiece for some of my artwork is not fabric. Strips were cut from large canvases and sewn together and these shapes were cut. These will get 2 coats of glossy varnish.
I've been hatching new Guardian Snails! Once they dry, they'll receive painted highlights and two coats of glossy varnish, along with a spiral stitched fabric shell.
I'm working on new handmade practical items, fabric and mixed media artwork. I've added a few more events to my April and May schedule. I'm really looking forward to my 4th appearance at the Inman Park Festival and my 2nd for Alpharetta!
I am continually astounded by the places I find myself. I will by on the Georgia Tech campus on Wednesday from 11-3!
#gatech #gvgI've started my favorite landscape, the Dragonscape, my DragonCon theme. When finished, it will feature the red & blue dragons with that very special carpet fabric & hand painted gold stars. 19"x22"with roughly 18 more hours of design time and sewing remain. Creative juices flow!
