I'm working on new handmade practical items, fabric and mixed media artwork. I've added a few more events to my April and May schedule. I'm really looking forward to my 4th appearance at the Inman Park Festival and my 2nd for Alpharetta!
I am continually astounded by the places I find myself. I will by on the Georgia Tech campus on Wednesday from 11-3!
#gatech #gvgI've started my favorite landscape, the Dragonscape, my DragonCon theme. When finished, it will feature the red & blue dragons with that very special carpet fabric & hand painted gold stars. 19"x22"with roughly 18 more hours of design time and sewing remain. Creative juices flow!
The trees continue to grow as I add strips of fabric within them. The next step will be to free motion quilting hundreds of smaller limbs and adding sparkling Angelina fiber.
Sneaking a peek at 5 fabric Trifold Organizer tops. I've finished grid quilting them to a thick stabilizer. I'll work on interior fabrics next week.
I've been building up a nice sized stash of vinyl over the last few months, as I prepare to start my new line of practical organizers, zipper pouches and a few other surprises. I'll be pausing for a while, so I can dig in and finished my taxes. That's the life of a one Geek shop!
I held onto a 1st generation landscape and now I can compare my skill development and evolution. They have come so far after some 6ish years. I've added additional layers and reflective fibers and broadened the backgrounds and created new themes.
The trees are growing! I have changed out some of the backgrounds and some of the tree fabric textures. I have cut, shaped and pinned Individual limbs. They'll stitched into place next. By the time these 4 are finished, I will have spent between 16-20 hours on each.
Emotional Support Chicken Dragon variants are hatching soon. Gold, Blue and Purple crests.
Spring is about to get sprung! As I enter my 7th fantastic year, I find myself on both the UGA and Georgia Tech campuses, along with my 4th appearance at the Inman Park Festival.
