Just a heads up, folks! My current instance (mstdn.social) is heavily overloaded right now, so I'm taking some of the load off by investigating other instances, to see which one I want to settle on long-term.

So because of this, I'm gonna be tooting over at @gc for a while, and if I like it enough there, I'll migrate properly at a later date. :3

Every Mastodon explanation is like "It's very simple, your account is part of a kerflunk, and each kerflunk can talk to each other as part of a bumblurt. At the moment everyone you flurgle can see your bloops but only people IN your kerflunk can quark your nerps. Kinda like email."

@roughdia This is such a big mood, I can definitely relate. Still pretty much entirely in the closet here as far as the 'real world' goes (though obviously, everyone who actually knows me, knows), definitely feeling that fear of facing the inevitable bullshit and backlash from normie society, and dreading having to take that first step. x_x

@shammers Exactly. It seems like CW is used a lot more here for stuff beyond just the usual NSFW content, but I'm not exactly sure *what* stuff is commonly CW'd, and I'd rather try to learn the culture early on.

So does anyone have, like... a list or a link to a page or something where I can find a list of stuff that's commonly-expected to be CW-tagged on Mastodon?

I know the culture here is pretty different from Twitter, and y'know, when in Rome...
