2023 continues to be the year of compromises... Just received notification from French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo that their online store has been hacked.
No payment details apparently but it's not promising that they're telling people to change their password and also change it if same one used elsewhere. Suggests that they were storing it without salting & hashing it.
Ignoring the fact I've had Covid so was not reading my emails... and that this was sent to my personal GMail address... and that I'd said I work for Acme Inc, I'm really not sure the passive agressive tone of this message would incite me to reach out to them. Oh, and their grammar sucks too!
Haha, just jumping on the #ChatGPT bandwagon. Not gonna lie, I was impressed with the outcome.
