Just when I was wondering if there was a cheap small touch screen display with decent CPU, SD card reader, Bluetooth, WiFi - that I wouldn’t have to build myself, that seems readily available, I read a PW article featuring exactly that: the Cheap Yellow Display https://hackaday.com/2023/10/28/cheap-yellow-display-builds-community-through-hardware/ - about £10.

My wife loves making boxes, using more bookbinding techniques than cartonnage. She bought a hefty amount of brass bar to use as clamps & weights…which really helps anchor the box construction as the glue sets
