@bythename @MonaApp Thanks, I am now able to view Federated messages. Next dumb question, is it possible to set this up as the default view by clicking the ‘Home’ icon?

AN OPEN POST TO MASTO ADMINS (boost for reach pls):

Yesterday a sizable instance (dice.camp, a TTRPG community, where I have - or HAD - many mutuals) defederated with mastodon.social (cut ties). That server then reversed that decision but the damage was done: follows had been deleted. I lost my friends there.

ADMINS: PLEASE... we (USERS) are all working hard to establish mastodon as a viable social network. This type of action fundamentally damages that effort. Even reversed, it's damaging.

Maybe I don't know enough yet, the issue I am facing w with Mastodon is to decide which instance I should post. Not everyone looks for posts from the fediverse

@oldtowneast @ellane they are just plain text files with .md suffix, you can click any md file the info then select which app to open then click for all similar files. I am not at my Mac , will share a screenshot later
