Stop fucking holding "passing" up as the end goal of transition, because not everybody can and not everybody wants to - or folks "pass" as something they actually aren't.

I don't blame anybody for wanting to "pass" as a defense mechanism, but if you're going to suggest that other people should be subject to misgendering and erasure to save yourself a little embarassment, you're a little past "defense mechanism" and into "assimilation".

Fuck that noise, and normalize sharing pronouns in all spaces.

Le pirate déchaîné

I’m gonna say something: I am a sex worker, been unemployed since October 2018, and am currently trying to get another job so I can better cover things I need, like phone service, public transit, rent, hygiene, HRT and food.

I also organize, write, edit and do photography. I am among millions of people doing work we love, like, tolerate and hate. And we matter.

This labor day, think about Black trans women who have to struggle for a living, in more ways than one.

Living out of suitcases for the last year+ has made me develop techniques to deal with the precarious nature of that situation. This morning I organized my "closet"
I've learned a lot in this time. I've made compromises. I've made hard choices. Sometimes my situation forced itself on me. Sometimes I embraced it. Hopefully I can make some progress on my future home in whats left of the year. It feels like once that bus is fully habitable a lot of things might fall into place...
