I’m gonna say something: I am a sex worker, been unemployed since October 2018, and am currently trying to get another job so I can better cover things I need, like phone service, public transit, rent, hygiene, HRT and food.

I also organize, write, edit and do photography. I am among millions of people doing work we love, like, tolerate and hate. And we matter.

This labor day, think about Black trans women who have to struggle for a living, in more ways than one.

But also, make your thinking and doing about labor radical. Learn how to unionize from an activist or organizer (locally or on the internet). Participate in solidarity strikes and protests by workers. Look at how much of the world you take for granted is built by labor, from the immigrants fleeing imperialist violence to the single mother working so her children can get an education, to homeless people working out of their cars.

Walk, learn and fight with them.

No because black people don't exist
