Apropos of nothing, I was reminded tonight of a stellar cocktail bar tucked away in Gamla Stan (of Stockholm) in Sweden. It sticks in my mind as a highlight in Stockholm. Absolutely magical cocktails. Looking at their 2026 menu, I'm still blown away.

This is what I do to shoes in the course of a year. On the right is what I walked into the store wearing. On the left is the bottom of a new shoe of the same model.

I’m surprised they lasted this long.

I wonder if I just don’t walk properly.
