Recently I've been thinking a lot about startup culture, and its values. I don't want to be associated with it at all any more β€” I want to be the founder of an indie software business, not a startup. I care more about users than million-dollar valuations. And I want more people to feel the same way, choosing small-scale, human values over investment and growth. I tried to articulate this and wrote a thing about it: http://joshsharp.com.au/blog/fewer-startups-more-indies.html

@joshsharp good words! Yes, this seems like a great comparison and evaluation of β€˜implied’ values, etc

@froosh hahaha, after going back to basics and using some PowerShell I wrote to work the LIFXLan api, I found that all but one of my lights thought they had the IP of my router πŸ€ͺ turn them off and on at the switch, and now they’re working in hass.io, now to enable them in HomeKit πŸ‘πŸ»
Setting up a Hass.io (again) to be a HomeKit bridge for my older LIFX bulbs ... but for some reason it keeps barfing on discovery when it hits my router πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
