@ubiquity75 The end of these programs—and who was so eager to see them end—made it very clear to me how capital sees its place in capitalism:

Capital’s goal isn’t prosperity. Capital sees our prosperity, to the extent we enjoy any, as a byproduct, as waste. And it will come for that waste as soon as it can.

Hey look at me, I figured out how to keep my work laptop session going via a desk fan, a wall clock, tape and some paper clips. Instead of being quiet about it, I'm going to make a TikTok with my face and everything on it!
Why all these idiots telling the goddamn Wall Street Journal how they keep their sessions active on their work PCs while working from home? Are you stupid! Who do you think reads the WSJ?!?! https://www.wsj.com/articles/employee-productivity-workers-avoid-monitoring-11673445411

Hospital IT is intense. Priority 1 overnight call about overhead paging system being down. Such a system isn't just for show; it's critical for patient safety. Think of code blue and other coded alerts. We all wear the codes on our badges so that when the overhead paging system goes off, we can reference which alert is being announced. It's really the most urgent alerting system in the enterprise, ahead of voice or mail or teams chats or P1 calls. It's beyond ultra critical, and much of it is analog because the bits need to be converted to sound waves. Super interesting system.
Dropped a "French AA has wine at their meetings" joke in this morning AA meeting and it went over really well, feeling pretty proud of it, my francophile bonafides notwithstanding
If governments are banning TikTok, why is it still on your corporate devices?

When lawmakers and higher education take steps to prevent official users from accessing the popular video-sharing app on their devices, corporations should sit up and take notice.

How about they bring ChatGPT to Powershell. Want an Ask-GPT module, and I'm too lazy and unskilled to write it myself.
can't relate to your drinking of Chateau Petris, sorry lol
This Beverly Hills AA zoom meeting is kind of a trip. Very old millionaires in an AA meeting....different demographic this morning lol. Not what I'm used to.
