Today was a good day! I found out that I won Best Director in the Documentary category of the NYWIFT Online Shorts Festival presented by iWomanTV for my film “Reopening!”

And finally, at the same festival — yes I had three projects screening at the same time and they all won awards!! I’m beside myself!— S2E6 of Bronx ‘ish, which I produced and co-directed, won Best Comedy and Best Actress in a Comedy!
At the same festival, a short film I produced “Carrol Lynn” won Best Drama!

It makes me sad to see so many people saying “I’m not anyone” when introducing themselves on social media. Um, yeah, you are someone. You are you and everyone in the world has something to say and often a lot more people are interested than you may think. Unfortunately I think a lot of peoples thinking has been trained that unless you have lots of followers / you’re famous / you post controversial opinions then you’re not worthy of being heard. You are.

Hello! I’m a producer/director who also writes. I’ve written 10 shorts, 5 features, 2 treatments, 2 pilots, and 2 specs (working on #3 currently). I’ve directed 5 of those short films. I’ve directed 13 short documentaries (working on #14) and have been a story consultant on several award-winning feature documentaries. I am directing a feature documentary now and am in development on a feature narrative film that I’m directing.
