@NatePHedi @chopaganda The other side of the gentrification coin is keeping depressed neighborhoods depressed, which is also not good. You just can’t fight the markets. If you hadn’t moved in there, someone else would have, and nothing would be different. Best we can do is promote policies which incentivize density, affordability, and increased housing supply.

@boelder I just got back from Mexico yesterday and they couldn’t have been less interested in checking my phone. I didn’t even personally talk to anyone.
MAYBE if you’re not a citizen and you’re outspoken about the regime, a bit more caution is warranted, but I think wiping your phone is overkill for most.
