Have you been infected with Covid-19?

Sometimes I think about people who feel that some people are "too old" to not be homophobic/transphobic/etc...the whole "they grew up in a different time" thing

Then I think of my mom who grew up in rural Kentucky, born in the 50s, didn't use a toilet until middle school because her home had no running water, never really experienced a decent city until college...

This last week she visited and was excitedly telling me about a book she read where a character gets gender affirming surgery and telling me all the details about how they do that these days (retired nurse) and how much happier trans people must be than back in her day and getting mildly disappointed when she found out I already knew all of this...it was extremely sweet. Any time she learns something about LGBT people she wants to tell me about it.

So I don't tolerate excuses about it being age. It's about how you see and treat others. And if you have a good heart and empathy you can figure out the queer details from there. They may not all be as educated on LGBT issues but if their heart is in the right place they can and will figure the rest out. The hateful won't dream of doing that.

I did a series of Norse mythology-inspired paintings after reading Niel Gaimans book on the subject, which eventually got me some followers with very shady vibes 🙄

I'll be posting a few of the drawings in the coming days.
