Choices, choices... What commedia dell'arte shall we bring to Pennsic 53 this July and August?

While our modern plays are more LGBTQA+ positive than traditional scenarios from the 16th Century, historic scripts were more inclusive than one might expect upon a surface glance including characters being in disguise actually getting married! Such is also the plot of our original "The Widow's Wife" where Isabella pretends to be her unwell father Pantalone to ensure his wedding with the (infamous black widow) Vittoria can happen as part of an elaborate scheme to marry her beloved Oratio!

Ten years ago we crafted "Fabritio Ties the Knot" for SCA 50 Year, a bawdy scenario inspired by the main play at that event as well as our original naughty show. It's scandalously appropriate for Pennsic party entertainment (which we encored that same year) and maybe even the Pennsic PA Tent stage (if we can get away with it)! Will 2026 be the year this ribald farce is... revealed?

Сегодня хочу поговорить о теме, которая с годами становится только острее — о контроле зависимостей и о том, почему привычных подходов к нему уже катастрофически не хватает. Современная разработка давно превратилась в сборку из готовых компонентов, где мы почти не пишем код с нуля, а комбинируем фреймворки, библиотеки и модули с открытым исходным кодом. Такой подход радикально ускоряет вывод продуктов на рынок, но за скорость приходится платить прозрачностью. Команда часто не знает точный состав своего приложения до финальной сборки.
