I made a lot of sketches of lapwings in flight and decided to make an animation out of them. The northern lapwing aka Vanellus vanellus aka kievit aka vanneau huppé is one of my many favourite birds.
Some drawings I made in the dunes of Domburg, The Netherlands. Cool ecosystems. The beech trees in the drawings grew in spectacular ways because of coppicing. There where lots of weirdly formed small oaks probably caused by the difficult conditions of growing in windy sand dunes.
