@lina @cyan After reading this entire document all I can say is you two are incredibly caring and amazing friends/people. Being able to deal with this for this long must have been very taxing on your mental. I know very few people who would have been able to deal with this situation for this long without saying a word publicly or firing back at all. @TornaxO7 Most I've seen are either, "why are you remaking gnome," something about rust, and others I'm sure you can find if you look at Jeremy Soller's accounts. However I mostly wanted to ignore these and be positive in my post, so I won't go super in depth on it.

@z_everson Do file picker windows show up at all in flatpak applications? If not you might not have xdg-desktop-portal/xdg-desktop-portal-gnome installed somehow? They should come with pop_os by default. These are required for flatpak to interact with the system. You can use check in a terminal with [apt list xdg-desktop-portal] and [apt list xdg-desktop-portal-gnome]. If one isnt installed you can install both using [sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome] in the terminal, then restarting.
