In the aftermath of the #ClownStrike ( #CrowdStroke or whatever) it would be interesting to watch the uptick in re-infection traffic in the coming days and weeks due to lost comms on the infected endpoints
@greynoise should be well positioned to catch a bunch of replay scenarios

Please get your proposals in by July 15!

Somebody made a tool called Total Recall to dump Recall database and screenshots. https://x.com/xaitax/status/1797349055917416457?s=46

Will release TotalRecall in a few days. Loads to play with and to work on. Thank you @GossiTheDog for the inspiration! #WindowsRecall #CyberSecurity #Microsoft #TotalRecall

I'm sorry Slack, you're doing fucking WHAT with user DMs, messages, files, etc? I'm positive I'm not reading this correctly.

This year, we decided to accept sponsorships for the 2024 conference:

https://bsidescambridgema.org/sponsorships/

We really love the fact that the local hacker community came together in 2023 and funded a fully Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) conference for our inaugural event.

But, we figured, why not see if we can't make it free for all participants?

We are committed to making this a net positive for the community, so here's our promise to you:
* no shilling
* no tabling
* no paid speakers

This is still and will always be YOUR conference.

Our next meetup we have Dennis Giese talking about #smarthomesecurity & #privacy and Lindsay Kaye talking about #proxylib

This meetup has been sponsored by Dataminr and we would like to thank our location hosts Rapid7 for hosting us!

RSVP to grab a spot before its too late at https://www.meetup.com/the-boston-security-meetup/events/300211922/ . Update your RSVP if you are no longer coming.

It’s April, though you wouldn’t know it if you looked out your window and saw all the snow and sleet that got dropped on us in the past 24 hrs. In any case, by the time of our next meetup on April 18 it will all be melted and in Charles river anyway.

Please join us at Boston Security April 2024 Meetup at Rapid7 https://meetu.ps/e/N356b/1nr1z/i

We, once again, have an incredible line up talks by Dennis G. on hacking robot vacuums and Lindsay K. on Operation Proxylib.

“Though it seemed completely automated, [Amazon’s] Just Walk Out relied on more than 1,000 people in India watching and labeling videos to ensure accurate checkouts. The cashiers were simply moved off-site, and they watched you as you shopped.” https://gizmodo.com/amazon-reportedly-ditches-just-walk-out-grocery-stores-1851381116

Amazon Ditches 'Just Walk Out' Checkouts at Its Grocery Stores

Amazon Fresh is moving away from a feature of its grocery stores where customers could skip checkout altogether.

During this year’s BlackHat events I fully expect to see a talk with the title “A Chinese(Jia Tan), an Indian (Jigar Kumar), and a German (Hans Jansen) walks into a GitHub repo”
