I've submitted that formula for Scriptable, Jayson, Data Jar, and Runestone and they have all gotten featured in some way. Some on the Today tab and some without artwork.

From attending App Store business and marketing labs during WWDC I know that the App Store editorial team will rarely discover your app on their own but they love when you tell them about it.
