We're really excited to be partnering with @the_verge to create a professionally-curated feed of the most important cases in tech. Read below and follow @[email protected] to stay informed.

The Verge is going all-in on this, and is sponsoring the bot financially as well — The bot will buy all of the filings in the cases it follows. These docs are part of our cultural heritage (for better or worse), and The Verge is making sure they are not locked up. Bravo.

How to follow The Verge’s new Tech Cases Bot

The Verge and the Free Law Project have partnered for the Tech Cases Bot, an X, Bluesky, and Mastodon feed of updates for US federal tech cases.

It has an API too. We're working on getting that better documented!

CourtListener's citation tool just got an upgrade. Paste in whatever citation you want and it'll sort it out for you.

It can handle just about any legal citation you can throw at it. Try it:

We had to upgrade our search server last week due to all the new data we're adding to the RECAP Archive. As of today, we've added thirty million new items, mostly from bankruptcy courts. We're about a fifth done. This new dataset is just huge.

We're proud to endorse Senator Merkley's bill to ensure that SCOTUS nominees are efficiently vetted regardless of who controls the Senate Judiciary Committee.

It works like this: If a nominee is held up in committee, the bill allows the minority party to force the nom. to the full Senate. Simple as that and applies equally to all parties.
