@ben It *could* be good news. Or it could lead to another walled garden takeover.
Google Reader absorbed and then killed most of RSS. Google Talk, XMPP/Jabber.
I mean, it's okay if this is not a good place for activism.
But there needs to be somewhere, if not Twitter?
Still thinking about the comment I read on Birbsite about Mastodon last night: that it's not a good place for activism, and that's a problem.
That's … right, isn't it? Surprisingly for a Birbsite comment about here. And it's not a good thing.
We have managed to find time for a pre-stream snuggle, which he is very happy about.
Fittingly, we'll be playing Stray in an hour. https://m.twitch.tv/gariusthebrit
Exciting (for me) news. I'm writing a follow-up to #TheDecadeInTory
The book covers the fall of Johnson, drive-by prime minister Liz Truss, and the rise to power of Rishi Sunak from the Inbetweeners
The book is crowdfunded, and will be delivered to the publisher in June next year. Pre-ordering it now means your name goes in the book, plus options for a signed copy and whatnot.

Hope you'll back it! Thanks everyone
Cw are an optional way to help more people read your content, since the reader can prepare themselves before reading. I do not think people should be forced to cw things.
I do think it is ableist to characterize cw as censorship. For many of us the lack of a cw has the effects of censorship. We have to mute content we would have been able to read if we had a moment to prepare. It's okay to not cw, but please do not characterize the accomodation of our needs as something harmful or evil.
