I am just feeling so lost today. We adopted two cats back in 2011, one of whom had a chronic illness and needed lots of care. He died in 2019 & just two months later our other cat developed organ failure at only age 8 & sadly had to be put to sleep today.
Now I'm at home with no pets for the first time in 15 years, no medication to give, no food to coax, no more vet appointments. And I'm at a complete loss.
Losing my pets is harder than most of the human deaths.

'Thematically speaking, the most important thing Terry Pratchett taught me was the concept of militant decency. The idea that you can look at the world and its flaws and its injustices and its cruelties and get deeply, intensely angry, and that you can turn that into energy for doing the right thing and making the world a better place. He taught me that the anger itself is not the part I should be fighting. Nobody in my life ever said that before.'

Very sad that #GISH is ending. It's been a huge part of my daughter's and my lives over the past 8 years and it's kinda devastating that its ended. But I'm so grateful for the experience we gained - she learned that almost everything is possible even though it seem impossible. Sometimes it just requires hard work, other times ut takes thinking outside the box or approaching it from a different angle.
It's weird being on a new platform again and starting from scratch. I'm Scottish/Canadian, left leaning, nerdy, science/engineering background, learning Korean. Interested in politics, science, health and scifi/fantasy books/shows/movies. Love KDramas and other international TV.
