My partner was puppeteering in the 'Light up Leigh' parade yesterday evening.
Back from a lovely week in south-western France.
Not sure why we've never been to this open garden at Downham before - possibly because it's outside of the National Garden Scheme and that's my first port of call for such openings. It had the most fabulous walled kitchen garden. They were growing oca which intrigued me.
Sedbergh is probably the most picturesque outground on which to watch Lancashire play. Not somewhere I'd seen a game before
#cricketFlew the kite and walked on the dunes at Ainsdale yesterday. So enjoyable!
We were both rather taken with these wire sculpture animals at an open garden this afternoon. We think the owner has a small business making them. Terrific terraced garden too.
The recent rain has been beneficial. We've picked four times the amount of berries pictured. However maybe it's more that the pigeons haven't been around quite the same!
#allotmentA thankfully sunny day yesterday for my, now annual trip to the
#tennis in Ilkley. Super little tournament.
A nice atmosphere at the last day of British Universities Athletics Championships. Witnessed lots of examples of nice camaraderie between supposedly rival institutions. Was particularly impressed with the jumping and distance running.
Back from a weekend away with the local Weaver's, Spinner's and Dyer's Guild to a big wool show in Mid-Wales.
Three of us just had tickets for the Saturday, so we went a walk to this idyllic waterfall in the Radnor Forest this morning.
