There's something weird about the us government warning against violence against LGBTQ people from international terrorists, while not caring about the state sponsored terrorism happening to citizens in it's own borders.

Nope and I was wrong too. It still can't verify the update. What is someone supposed to do with this!?! Did the verification fail and I need to redownload. Is there some server involved in the checksum? Is this thing just too old?
I think I will forever hate the people who complained about windows showing error codes to users.
I think it turned out I har a network problem at home, which would have been apparent if anywhere it had just said "Hey, I can't connect!". I get some people might not understand that, but it's still better ux than "duhhhh.. something bad." This junk is just purely about maintaining an image. Not about helping people.
It's crazy how awful the iPad software update process is. I noticed yesterday my kids was 2 years behind. Update wouldn't download because he's always low on storage. After some shuffling around other apps I got it to download only to have it then fail with a generic "something went wrong" message. After retrying a few times I deleted it to try again and now it can't seem to even connect to the update servers. Great stuff. #itjustworks #apple

And then when you do set it up your given this option? Is "Just don't load stuff" not even an option anymore?
