A bunch of cells, which by pure luck, amount to some sort of intelligence. I am also lucky to call myself a father of two lovely human beings.

Besides that, I run a company that builds insurance products; with focus on simplicity. Sometimes we fail and sometimes we don’t. Take a look here — https://karlbikes.com.

I strive to be humble; a good human. Call me an idiot and naïve.

Captain Janeway: "Computer, display Fairhaven character, Michael Sullivan. [...]

Give him a more complicated personality. More outspoken. More confident. Not so reserved. And make him more curious about the world around him.

Now... Increase the character’s height by three centimeters. Remove the facial hair. No, no, I don’t like that. Put them back. About two days’ growth.

Oh, one more thing. Access his interpersonal subroutines, familial characters. Delete the wife."

Craig Mod recaps the Thailand walk and talk we did last week. “Our sweat had sweat. We were a moving swamp. The fabric bits on our backpacks had turned sentient. I wanted to apply bleach atop my sunscreen.” https://craigmod.com/ridgeline/175/

This statement may seem blasphemous in a society obsessed with hustle culture and endless motivation, but let me be honest — I loathe the act of working. I hate it. It doesn’t fulfil my purpose or ignite any passion within me.

Our obsession with hustle culture, this idea that our self-worth is tied to how much we achieve, is suffocating.

I hate work. — Joan Westenberg

The piercing sound of my alarm shatters the stillness of my room at the ungodly hour of 5 AM, and I reluctantly drag myself out of bed. It’s the same daily grind, a routine I’ve been stuck in for years, first as a sound engineer, then as a tech exec, and now as an indie tech writer. I’m caught in th

The `hanging-punctuation` property in CSS

(I did a Twitter thread on this a while back, against my better judgment, and now moving to a proper blog.) The hanging-punctuation property in CSS is almost a no-brainer. The classic example is a …

Neue Podcastfolge!

Passing @adactio's latest around the team this morning, as we're ripping out React from Edge's UI surfaces and replacing it with Web Components; conservatively we're seeing a 2x speedup:
