@hpod16 great to see it

@carnage4life I think there’s still a case of what happens when the real cost comes up (my company is putting cost limits on us already) and if the AI can do something useful and reliably on its own (I think some level of automation needs to happen).

But I do think developers think they’re untouchable in companies they want to work in for a high wage and there’s a fair chance they’ll be in the find out phase in the near future.

@amyworrall Ah, I'd agree with that. My council has been safe for the tories for ages. While it was pointless to vote Green, I did it because it fit what I wanted & any non-Tory vote was largely pointless.

The lib dems did get enough traction in the last few elections so I went with them. They technically had more votes but not in the right combination to unseat the leader of the council.

No vote this year & we're a merging council. The Greens can do better if the preferred option is picked.

@amyworrall Good luck!

Turns out I am not very good at guessing the party.

I used to use rsync.net for backing up data ages ago. I'm thinking about going back to it especially since it means I can use the excellent FTP Files app from Anders Borum for iOS.

Is anyone using rsync.net these days and have any feedback on how it may have improved, degraded, etc?

#rsync #backup

Are they shoes or a high tech defence system?
@tg you can use any finger address. To be slightly more clear, the AVP software is my own (Plan Poke) but happy net box service has a nice random handle I use configure my widgets to point to and until I setup a server it’s a great way to have an account to update on the go.

@tg those protocols did provide experiences that could be rough but having full control over the data on the client side is what made them great, imo.

The finger protocol is a favourite of mine. I’m glad happy net box is around for that and it means on the Vision Pro I can display random people’s updates on the wall beside my desk.
