Today, SFBOS land use committee discussed legislation on "Love Our Neighborhoods Projects," making it easier to bring joy to your neighborhood with a bench, free library, planter, sidewalk mural, etc.
Sounds great, right? Except the legislation gives DPW unilateral power to repeal or just ignore protections for accessibility and walkability. Without those protections, rows of huge "planters" can continue to be abused as barricades. 1/
