🧵 Since the shooting of #CharlieKirk, radical Republicans have been pushing violence-inciting claims about the shooter. The police have not apprehended the person and don't know his name.
We don't know what the motive is, however, I think given the miasma of claims that "of course" a left-winger or trans person did it, it's worth exploring why the shooter very easily could be a right-wing extremist.

Robert Shonov, a former employee of the U.S. consulate in Vladivostok, was detained in 2023 and accused of passing information on Russia’s war in Ukraine to the U.S. He was sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison on Nov. 1.
