For me as a nurse PDA stands for peridural anaesthesia ... made me frown when I first read 'in love with PDA' 😎
Maybe we should invent Personal Digital Anaesthesia as a conjunction. But I think they already did over at Insta, Tik Tok etc... 🙃

It now lacks colour, don't you think? 🤔

Without having tried myself, immich seems to do the job. There also seem to be hosted offers, so you do not necessarily have to set up your own server.

Very nice wallpaper!
@nextcloud
Don't get me wrong, I'd always prefer nextcloud over Google Drive, but in case you do need it, at least Gnome, KDE, and Mint offer full integration via online accounts (also including mail, contacts, and calendar if desired)

I got the wrong extension installed! There is another one just called 'Desktop Widgets' which doesn't have the weather features. Thanks for your patience!
@Steve12L
Sorry for bothering you again but I cannot see any weather options in the settings. It seems to be a date/clock widget only.
Found this site ( https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2025/09/desktop-weather-widget-ubuntu ) but it also did not get me on ...
This GNOME Weather Widget Puts Forecast on Your Desktop

If you want weather information displayed directly on your Ubuntu desktop, the Desktop Widgets GNOME Shell extension is worth checking out. See why inside.

OMG! Ubuntu
