Sue Watt speaking about tracking community attitudes towards a refugee settlement in Armidale over 4 years. in general, it's positive. fascinating data, that suggest over time the community is a welcoming place for those settling from other places #sasp2022

using a random-intercepts cross lagged panel model in a sample of 500 Australians over a 4-month period in the middle of 2021, we examine the temporal ordering of vaccination #conspiracytheories, #vaccinationhesitancy, and powerlessness.

in short, we find that it is vaccination conspiracy theories that precede both powerlessness and hesitancy (not vice-versa).

this study is important as the modeling allows us to separate the between group variance from within-individual changes over time, ascertaining a clearer picture of cross-lagged effects over time.
