Whoa. This is interesting.
"...its Corsair C8 compute card that is said to have 9x the throughput of an Nvidia H100 GPU in generative AI workloads."
The Corsair C8 AI accelerator leverages the power of d-Matrix's proprietary digital-in-memory computer (DIMC) technology. With 2,048 such DIMCs that are aided by 256 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an additional 2 GB SRAM, a single accelerator can reach speeds of up to 9600 TFLOPS.
How has it taken me this long to realize that the letter at the beginning of an Nvidia GPU model is an abbreviation of the micro architecture of that GPU series?
P100 - Pascal
V100 - Volta
A100 - Ampere
H100 - Hopper
