I’m gonna make stuff on my own accord anyway, but if you like the things I make, you can support me best by donating or buying something I sell (fonts, playing cards, T-shirts). Or simply reposting this.

The most effective is a donation through Stripe. But anything is awesome.

an old version of the macOS flurry screensaver is open source, so a few prompts later we can have it ported to Metal and running in a tvOS app https://github.com/zadr/flurry

this is basically "too big to fail"

Had a voluntary 1-hour video conference with the folks at reMarkable (as a customer) to answer questions and share my thoughts about their devices. It was fun sharing my enthusiasm for a product I love to use daily.

I also recently learned that the company is based in Norway. Happy about that because there's a less chance of the enshitification of their products for more $$$ to please shareholders (at least I hope).

Prosecutor conceded lack of criminal evidence in Fed investigation

Newly released court records indicate the Justice Department's investigation of a $2.5 billion renovation project at the Federal Reserve didn’t find any evidence of a crime before a judge quashed government subpoenas, dealing a severe blow to the probe. During a closed-door hearing on March 3, Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Massucco couldn't point to any evidence of fraud or criminal misconduct stemming from Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s testimony about the renovation project. Eight days later, Chief Judge James Boasberg quashed government subpoenas issued to the Federal Reserve. The exchange between the prosecutor and the judge is contained in a transcript for the hearing, which was sealed from the public.
