One month of 'no-charge transit' to compensate OC Transpo riders would cost $15 million

One month of free transit to compensate riders for disruptions caused by the O-Train shutdown this summer would cost an estimated $15 million, but the head of OC Transpo says the transit service doesn't have the money to offer free rides.

What exactly is the point of stealing the seat off of an 8 year old cheap Costco bicycle? My teen's bike lock is more expensive than her bike, but she's had every possible part and accessory stolen off of it over the course of the season. #ottbike
I love when we're on vacation and I get to observe other families and be reminded of all the parenting stages that we survived.
Getting onto the Metro after Osheaga. Took a while, but didn't break the train. They didn't even offer free rides, so in this chaos people were having to buy tickets (if they didn't have them), scan passes, etc.
Both my computer and my brain are finding this Monday to be very Monday-like.
On my run this morning, happened past one of the SEVEN outdoor pools that are centrally located in Hull.
Pretty much sums it up 😢 #Ottawa #ClimateChange
There are so many road closures in Ottawa that Google maps has essentially given up. It marks the roads as closed, but suggests that I drive through anyway. It suggested 3 closed roads as part of a short drive today. I feel bad for tourists trying to figure things out.

2) Pedestrians and cyclists still stuck sharing 1 lane on the bridge where cyclists are in theory supposed to walk their bikes but in reality most do not. I feel like there is enough room for them to provide a dedicated cycling lane, but they have not.

3) So far they are letting cyclists / pedestrians walk/ride past the War Museum on the Booth sidewalk and cycle track, but apparently that will eventually be closed and people will need to take the path behind the Museum / by Mill St. #ottbike

1) For vehicles, it is CLOSED except for access to Chaudière and Albert islands (one lane, alternating directions). That access is now from the Gatineau side instead of the Ottawa side. Booth next to the War Museum is completely closed. People are driving across from Gatineau and then having to do a U-turn and go back because maybe they think the "local traffic only" sign doesn't apply to them?
