tbt to the time my A&P professor (who was some big Cards doc/a CMO I think pre-retirement) said out loud in front of the whole class that he hates that women shaving their leg hair became a societal beauty standard because it's there to alert them that parasites are trying to climb their legs and how could they be asked to *give up* such protection and it was such a wtf moment for so many reasons but I still think about it time-to-time.
