@macandd I was eyeballing it! Was just worried about the difference between f/2.8 & f/4
@xylophilist thanks! It looks like they have the Nikkor lens I'm eyeballing for significantly cheaper than nikonusa - are their like new lenses good enough to be worth trading in my current lens/getting the upgraded one for several hundred cheaper?
@randy thanks! The 28-75 is $300 off right now, so if I can find a good buyback quote for my 24-70 f/4, I might pull the trigger this week 🤞mpb gave me a good quote but idk how trustworthy they are
Is MPB.com reputable for lens buybacks? Their quote was higher than other sites for a lens buybacks & I'm considering it #photography #photographer
@randy Thanks - I guess the other question is is the f/2.8 worth it over the f/4? I like taking nighttime pics of city life/city scenery & things like fireworks & I heard f/2.8 is better for that + portraits and closeups. Because if it's not worth it, I might do the f/4 24-120 for greater versatility instead of also getting the 70-200 at some point and having to juggle multiple lenses
@randy Thanks
@randy I also want to get an f/2.8 lens to be able to take better pics in low light, otherwise I'd consider the 24-120
@jp10558 I currently only have the 24-70. I also want to get the 70-200 f/2.8 eventually to let me take better pictures at a bit of a distance, but I don't know if I can justify the expense at the moment given that it's just hobby. I want to start doing some photography for pay to offset the cost, but also I like having it just be a hobby I do when I feel like it 🤷‍♂️
@randy Thanks! I mostly use it for hobby travel and street photography, but the option for portraits would be nice because family asks for those since I have a nice camera. I do submit some of my best pics to getty istock because why not, so image quality differences do matter to me
I also want to upgrade from the Z6 to the Z7ii, but I can't justify spending that much
