Many interests, little time. Unschooling parent. Long-term interest in bicycles; built a bamboo diamond frame bike years ago, learning TIG welding now to mess around more again. I would like to talk with more thoughtful and empathetic people with whom I don't agree. Periodically I am very sad. Wrassle computers for money.
Got to participate in firing a train style kiln last weekend; it was super cool! Now just have to be patient until next Saturday to see the results... but waiting is hard! 😅 #woodfired#pottery
We had finished compost in one side of our bin that we used on our garden beds this year and we got *so many* volunteers popping up that we couldn't bear to weed out! A watermelon (didn't make it), chard, kale, lots and lots of tomatoes, and this sunflower that just bloomed. (I like how the flower bud on it looked a week or two ago too 🙂)
I didn't take any crowd pictures (the light breeze was enough to make controlling this sail of a banner a two handed job) but I was pleasantly surprised by the size and energy of our local #NoKings protest yesterday. Also very happy with this banner construction technique. Cheap, fast, high visibility 👍.
Trailer got it's first use for intended purpose today, letting L vend at Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters market by bike 🎉🚲🙂 Amusingly, they told me that when they stopped at the local co-op on the way home, someone who worked on the design of their bicycle model stopped to chat about the trailer setup!
I'm unreasonably proud of finishing the conversion of this kid hauling bike trailer to its second life as a flatbed cargo trailer for our longtail ebikes. #CarryShitOlympics#BikeTooter#ReduceReuseRecycle
