Figured it was time to finally watch Andor.
First episode starts off with "one year later" then jumps around to multiple planets, each with their own characters and storylines with no exposition.
Bold! I'm digging the risk taken and respect for the audience, figuring it'll then go back and show how it all started.
Wrap up the episode intrigued and then realize it was the first episode of season 2.
Unsure about for a 10 y/o, but from what I recall fine. Murderbot diaries by Martha Wells.
Better than the Apple TV adaptation IMO, but I understand why they made some of the decisions adapting that they did.

@KaraDanvers I loved the books and was a little offput at how emotive it was in the intro but having just watched the first two episodes I think they did a good job with it!
The books are more straight SF with murderbot’s sarcastic inner commentary providing the comedic effect, but more voice over than there is would probably get annoying. :)
Humans needing escapism from the greed and stupidity of humans watching TV about an android that watches TV as escapism from the greed and stupidity of humans.

@emory @nelson I tried it out a few months ago, it’s similar but had a few glaring issues - permanent tabs in workspaces were one, then some odd shortcuts / workflow stuff.
I made / chimes into some GitHub issues. The maintainers seemed keen on getting Arc users, but there was some grumbling about keeping it foxy vs an arc clone.
