My goal for today:
Get a #taskwarrior TaskServer up and running at home.
I've been lazily using a synch service for years.
It's time to take control of my tasks. 🙂
I'm attending #FSF #libreplanet remotely today since I can't be in Cambridge, MA, USA today.
You can watch streams of the talks live at https://libreplanet.org/2019/live
I've recently discovered https://musicbrainz.org #musicbrainz and I've started using their #gpl Picard app and their #creativecommons web service to start tagging my music CD-ROM collection as I convert everything from physical to digital media.
MusicBrainz is a lifesaver. It is so well organized and the community has been so helpful.
Do you all enable SSH servers on all of your computers? Why or why not?
This weekend I enabled SSH servers on my laptops. I don't have any other servers on them, I just had GNOME crash on me one too many times while I had something valuable open. I just want to be able to SSH in to a laptop and recover what I can.
Am I crazy for doing enabling SSH on a laptop?
Oh, yeah. If anyone is wondering:
PasswordAuthentication no
PublicKeyAuthentication yes
I just installed #UBports on an old Nexus 5. 😎
The installation process for this device was crazy easy thanks to the people over at UBports.
Some very nice #openbsd people over in https://www.reddit.com/r/openbsd/ helped set me straight.
I was trying to use the 64-bit installer on a 32-bit system.
